Why don’t other UK podcast services offer skyline-view recordings?

Most podcast recordings in the UK take place in windowless rooms with lighting that’s set once and never adjusted. It’s simple and predictable — and only requires a technician to turn it on and off.
Working with floor-to-ceiling windows requires a completely different level of skill.

Usually, if you want a recording with a skyline view, you would need to hire a full production company to source the location and crew.
Our team comes from professional film and TV production, so we treat every session as a unique setup. Before each recording, we fine-tune lighting and camera settings for the time of day, using cinematic cameras and top-tier production equipment to deliver a consistent, broadcast-quality look with a skyline backdrop.

Will the engineer be in the same room as us during the recording?

Accepted Answer

Unlike many recording spaces where an engineer remains in the room, our setup is designed to offer complete privacy and a calm, distraction-free environment. We understand that being observed can affect how naturally you speak, so once everything is set, we step out and leave you in full privacy for the duration of your session. This allows for a more relaxed, authentic recording experience. If you need anything at any point, simply press the call button and we’ll assist you immediately.

For monitoring and full film production crew add-ons, your session is supported from a separate control room by our team. This allows us to oversee technical quality and guide the recording in real time without being present in the space, ensuring a seamless, uninterrupted experience throughout — particularly for sensitive or personal conversations.

Not all equipment listed below is included in the standard studio package.

The standard studio package is designed for efficient, self-contained productions. It uses zoom lenses with reliable autofocus and podcast microphones with automatic audio mixing, allowing sessions to run smoothly without dedicated camera or sound operators.

Premium production packages add dedicated crew and specialist workflows, including cinema prime lenses, manual focus operation, lavalier microphones, timecode synchronisation, and other advanced production tools.
